The 57th Annual Japan Golf Fair

What is the JGF Event?

Between March 1st to March 12th, the 57th  annual Japan Golf Fair took place in Yokohama, Japan, at the PACIFICO YOKOHAMA exhibition hall. This tradeshow intended for retailers and distributors of golf products and accessories, is a hub for golf enthusiasts, to explore the newest releases and get the latest news. Here, you can find products on display (such as golf clubs) and information on golf resorts, golf schools, private/public driving range equipment, golf machines, and more! To get a scope of how large this event is, roughly 60,000 attendees walked through the door of the PACIFICO YOKOHAMA exhibition hall to tour and explore all the available exhibits. As an international event, we wanted to write this blog to bring the Japan Golf Fair experience to those reading our blogs.

NEXGEN at JGF

This year, GOLF Partner USA showcased their original brand, NEXGEN, allowing visitors, exhibitors, and athletes to try out all the different clubs and speak to brand reps to get information on any questions they had regarding the brand and products. NEXGEN has the ability to 'Awaken your hidden potential' and has a whole lineup of Drivers, fairway woods, utility, and irons available to shop from. Using state of the art technology and design, golfers using NEXGEN clubs can hit better shots and expect better results. At this year's Japan Golf Fair, we showcased a blackout design of our lineup; A beautiful and powerful aesthetic that any golfer will love.

A Special Guest!

In addition to our NEXGEN exhibit, we also brought a special guest to this year's event to bring more awareness to Japan's Golf Fair and bring some excitement. Special guest, Lydia Ko, made an appearance and answered many questions attendees and fans had, as well as provide golf lessons! She also shared her epic comeback story to the top position; From winning easy and naturally when she began her pro career, to facing difficulties through her later years as a professional.

At the recommendation of her club fitter, Lydia Ko would add PROTO CONCEPT irons to her bag and sign a contract with GOLF Partner USA, which followed with her reaching No.1 on the race to the CME Globe Rankings. Shortly after, she would go on to win the GLOBE CME, Rolex Player of The Year, Rolex Women's World Rank #1, Total Prize Money, and the Vare trophy. If you didn't know, Lydia Ko has signed an extension to her contract with GOLF Partner USA and will continue using PROTO CONCEPT irons on her fight to remain in the top position.

What else is there to see at JGF?

For those curious, this event is not solely golf clubs on display. Businesses and companies take this as an opportunity to see what audience they should target and what they can implement into their business. Many people may find the technology offered at the Fair to be amusing and extremely useful. TWOVISION, an exhibit at the Japan Golf Fair, offers a cutting-edge golfing simulator that allows the user to change the positioning of the base plate (where you stand) and position of the ball to imitate the imperfections of the golf course, allowing you to practice and prepare for unpredictable situations. GDR Plus, another helpful tech tool that allows you to view your performance and swing results through your smartphone! Imagine a trackman, at your fingertips! Or CaddyTalk, a miniature and accurate golf rangefinder that combines state-of-the-art techonology with pleasant and luxurious aesthetics.

There's something for everyone at the Japan Golf Fair, and we encourage our readers or those who are interested to attend if you are ever in Japan! Whether a golf enthusiast, a collector, an athlete, or just a fan, you'll enjoy your time touring around and seeing what companies have to offer as well as having an early-bird look into new releases! We hope you were able to get a grasp of what goes down at the Japan Golf Fair, and are looking forward to next year's Japan Golf Fair!
